As I was critiquing the fashion choices for the red carpet Grammy attendees, unsettling news was brought to light.

An alleged case of domestic abuse between Chris Brown and Rhianna was the cause of both music artists last minute postponement of their Grammy performances.

 Domestic abuse is a silent epidemic. It doesn’t have a race, face, faith or financial status. It’s effects lingers past the episode for months or years as court systems are often slow and/or the law isn’t supportive to all/any 5 cycles of abuse.

Isn’t it time to celebrate those who have not only survived but continue to thrive in life’s journey?

Isn’t’ it time to educate in high school, college, small business owners and their employees no matter what profession?
